LX570 tailgate

Is the drop down portion of the LX570's tailgate weight bearing? Can someone sit on it without causing damage to the tailgate?

Yes someone can sit on it, I don't recommend more than 1 or 2 people....

We have had 2-3 people on it without any problems.
