I’ve special ordered a 2010 LX in order to get exactly the options I want, particularly the pre-collision system. It won’t arrive until November but Thule racks are on sale at REI for 20% off till 9/7 so I’ll probably get one now. I need something fairly large to carry skis and other gear. Has anyone actually mounted a Thule Atlantis 1800 or Atlantis 2100 on their LX? If so, what are your thoughts? Any installation problems? Any clearance issues with the spoiler? Thanks in advance.

 

Rei has 20% off with free shippig over the web. I looked on Thules web site and they recommend that you contact the dealer to make sure you get the proper mounting configuration. I did not see any lexus modles that Thule showed any suport for.

 

I also noticed that Thule's website says that not a single roof-mounted cargo box fits the LX. That doesn't make sense to me. The great thing about REI is their generous return policy. If I pick up a Thule that doesn't work well with the LX I'll have zero problem returning it to REI. I was just hoping that someone had firsthand experience with a Thule on their LX.
