what are the real differences between the lx570 and the toyota land cruiser 08?

here is all i know for sure

1. price--duh!!
2. the dash board only comes in grey for the TLC

 

The 570 has more features such as the extra cameras and the hard drive for music and such. I'm not sure.

 

how about comparing a base lexus lx570 with a loaded TLC 08----is there anything that the TLC is lacking?

I am sure I miss a few and others are redundant.

 

but is that on the 2008 loaded TLC also?

I have owned a 2003 TLC and I presently drive an '06 LX470 I can tell you that the LX has a more comfortable interior.

 

The '08 TLC has one MAJOR advantage over LX570: KDSS. KDSS allows for more off-road suspension travel. In addition, it's anti-roll bars are thick, which allows it to handle decently on the highway (with slightly firmer ride).

The LX570 has air suspension where it can lower itself or go up high. It comes with XREAS-type suspension where the shocks are "X-linked" (front driver to rear passenger, etc.). This allows for better on-road handling around corners, but does little off-road. The air suspension is cool off-road because you can make it go high to avoid bodily damage.

So, if you're not going to off-road much, then LX570 would be the choice. If you are into heavy off-roading over tough terrain, then TLC seems to be a better choice due to KDSS. However, for whatever reason, the TLC does NOT come with air suspension. Toyota should have included air suspension for the price that it's asking for. It seems like Toyota wants the off-road crowd to get the TLC but does not go all the way to make it perfect. It is also clear that Lexus believes that the LX570 is more for the on-road crowd...to go after the Porsche Cayenne and RR sport people.

Otherwise, the LX570 comes with way more luxury items, including better stereo, more bling-bling exterior, and better interior materials. For one, i have no freaking idea why the wood in the TLC ($73,000 vehicle) is fake nor why it does NOT come with privacy glass!

 

I didn't really check out the TLC at the show, but the look doesn't resemble the Lx as much as the old models did.
