Default 2019 Certified LX 570

I would like to start a new post about my ownership of the 2019 CPO LX 570 I purchased right before Thanksgiving of 2024. Half a year ago I asked "should I buy a 2020 LX 570?". At that time I had a brand new GX 460 and it is a great car. Somehow I was planning to get a very unique top of the line SUV. Since then I drove the LX 600, Range Rover SV, G 63 AMG, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. We find they can't even come close to LX 570 in terms of design, luxury, engineering and capability.
At first I planned to choose either atomic silver or eminent white pearl as the exterior color. Somehow one day I drove an Onyx black LX 570 from Carmax in the evening and the hood reflected the street lights and trees like a mirror and it was very beautiful. So as soon as I saw this certified pre-owned onyx black LX in mint condition for sale from 600 miles away I signed the purchase agreement online. A few days later, on Nov 23rd 2024 I flew from LA to Sacramento and finalized the purchase. I paid $56k+tax for this certified pre-owned 2019 LX 570 with 59k miles. It comes with free paint protection film. On the road I drove it home from Sacramento the hood reflects mountains, clouds, trees at sunset. It was like a film and was very emotional and storytelling. So I am going to share my true ownership review of the 570, not some random YouTuber who only lived with it for an hour or a week.

The LX 570 took Lexus's new design direction one step further. It's a wordy desktop photo for any computer, the face of the brand's future. Nothing prepares you for your first encounter with an Lexus LX 570. It doesn't sound like much because if you are not familiar with the car, what even is an LX? But then you see it and it's all you can see. These headlights are so sharp yet so elegant. This massive hood houses a massive V8, and the body just ever so slightly tucks in at the doors before softly flaring out at the rear wheels. Each of these 21 inch wheels is so perfectly tucked into the body. It's just beautiful.

You can see that it is this stunning shade of black with red accents. This car is absolutely beautiful. It makes you feel like a star, even more of a star than you already felt like when you got in here. Everything here is so beautiful and so purposeful. You have this mixture of materials. You have the leather, the linear espresso wood, the brushed silver, the alternating between the black and the red and the silver and the espresso. It's beautiful!


This is one of my favorite cars ever made and I think one of the greatest cars of all time. This is an LX which means it is for luxury, it is for touring and it is for feeling grand yet when you bring it out on any road this car is just so impressive. From a baseline knowledge perspective we need to know this car weighs about 6000 lbs. This is not a light car. This car is not meant for just going stripped down to the racetrack and being super light and super fast. This car is meant to be extremely luxurious but also really fun to drive at the same time.

So we're working with a very heavy car -- one that is built for luxury, one that is not built first and foremost for sport and yet as you will see this car is so sporty. The naturally aspirated V8 makes a sound unlike anything else. It's just roaring up to speed. It's incredible and then you get in the car and the steering is so direct and heavy and just listen to that acceleration! That acceleration will not blow you out of the park. It will not make you sick to your stomach. What that acceleration will do is make you feel so powerful. And the goal isn't to blow you out of the park or make you feel sick or just be this horrific experience. The goal is for this car to feel amazing. If you wanted this to be a very fast car, you would strip out all the luxury and you would bump the power to 800 instead of 383. No, the LX 570 is about having the luxury you need with the off-road and sport you want.


The pedals are perfectly heavy. I hit the gas pedal, there's a springiness to it. There's a weight to it that just feels so nice. The brake pedal has a great amount of tension. It's not light or just non-existence, the tension is there so that when I stop this car I feel sporty and good. The steering is extremely direct but it's not very communicative and that's by design. This car is meant to be extremely luxurious so you don't want the steering to communicate all the undulations of the road. You just want it to go where you want it to go and it does. It's so direct and it's perfectly weighted. It's not too heavy or light. It's so nice and luxurious in here and the whole time you're sitting against this pristine red seat with these silver, black and espresso accents in here and it's incredible. It's beautiful in here!

I cannot tell you how incredible it is to experience a song in LX 570's Mark Levinson system. The Mark Levinson reference surround sound is individually tailored to suit the 570, so you can enjoy impeccable sound that immerses you during every ride. It's very 3D and emotional. It turns your cabin into a concert hall. When it plays a song, it starts the song very intimate, they're singing directly to you, and then as the song picks up and gets more excited, it just branches out around your head and becomes very 3D and very all-encompassing and very emotional. And then as it winds down, that sound comes back to the front to make it very intimate, like they're singing directly to you. And it's very much storytelling. It's a rising action, a climax, and a falling action. And it's so cool to experience that in a sound system.

This center console design is so beautiful and elegant. The contactless screen is crystal clear and reliable. It keeps the "perfect distance" from your eyes. Not like many touchscreens, you won't need to lean over to operate so it won't be getting dirty with fingerprints, which also makes it far more reliable.


I heard complaints about this navigation controller. But I found its design is so sporty. It is very functional and comfortable to use. It is wrapped with this high-end leather and stitchings and it feels so luxurious when you touch it. With this combination of the mechanical gear shifter, driving mode ****, multi terrain **** and off-road switches, the central panel looks ceremonial and sporty.

you have great taste of cars. and you owned over 35 cars. if I ever buy a sports car, it will be the LC 500. definitely not Ferrari.

Congratulations on your purchase. I have the 2018 in atomic silver with cabernet interior. Been driving this loaded luxurious SUV past 6 years with only complaint being no Apple carplay. But that's ok, I love the ML audio system. Enjoy your ride!

why the complaint? Apple Carplay is not high tech. if you really want one, you can install it for about 1000 bucks.
I enjoy the LX with no Apple Carplay. I already have iPhone, iPad and macbook at home, why do I need another Apple in my vehicle.

Love the carplay as I subscribe to Apple music & SiriusXM & would have been an excellent integration with the ML audio system. And don't want to mess around with an aftermarket product with ML.
But the carplay was added to later 570 models.

there was no carplay for any LX 570. you can use bluetooth and listen to Apple music. I listen to music all the time.
