Just remember, it doesn't stay that way on its own. I've had several black cars, they take a lot of time keeping them nice. I had one that I washed twice a week and waxed weekly. White can be pretty dirty and not show, silver is better yet as is most lighter colors. My 2018 is fully equipped and the Atomic Silver. She spends her life in a garage, so it stays very clean.
I don't believe so. my previous GX 460 is also black. there is this misconception that says black cars get dirty easily. but it all depends on the quality of the paint, and the LX's Onyx black paint is exceptional. I never wax it and I simply wash it once a week. it still shines even when it's very dusty. check the photos I took after driving on the sand for one hour and got all the dust on it. and the next day I showed up at my church, people werecomplimenting how clean and bright this car always is and what a beautiful car.
Did the PO ceramic coat it? That paint doesnt seem to have any marring or paint swirls and with the history of PPF on the high traffic areas it would make sense.

thanks for asking. unfortunately no the previous owner didn't do any ceramic coating. they only added PPF on the hood, headlights, front fender and outside mirrors. I wish they had put PPF on the doors but they didn't. I don't want to spend any extra money on PPF. PPF in orange county costs thousands, which is insane.
I have a 2019 Black Onyx LX 570, too. It is a single stage paint. To keep it bright and shiny, I only use P&S products to wash and ceramic it. I use The Rag Company microfiber towels of various types with the P&S products. The type of soap and waxes/ceramics used make a huge difference, as well as how they are applied. I have a Blizzard White 2019 Land Cruiser. This is a triple stage paint. It cleans much more easily than the single stage Black Onyx. Toyota/Lexus use high quality paints so I can keep the Black Onyx looking great, but it takes more effort than the triple stage paint, hands down. I never use car washes, even touchless. The force of the spray drives dirt into the paint. Hand wash only for me.

Sigh. No, I worked really really really hard. The LC saved our life one snowy, freezing night on 80 in the Sierra. An Escalade almost took us out. After that we sold our Tundra and got the LX. Nearly 6000 lbs of steel will save your life, as a highway patrolman told me. No fancy vacations for awhile but alive.

so you are a successful businessman? I know there are a lot of people in the software companies in SF bay area that make a lot of money. I hope you are one of them.

glad you own a 2019. all LX 570 are amazing vehicles. 2016 already looks so modern and beautiful. but 2019 is a really good year to own. first and foremost, 2019 has the newest upgrades and there is no difference from 2019 - 2021. secondly, 2018 doesn't come with the projected door lamps and the new ignition switch so if I try to get fully loaded I have to skip it. thirdly, 2019 has hit harder with the depreciation curve and it has better pricing compared with 2020 and 2021. I paid 56521$ for this CPO LX. If I choose a 2020 with the same miles and conditions, it would be above 60k. and plus more taxes... for wage workers like me I need to pitch pennies :-)
You got a great rig at a great price! The used 2019 was available, so with selling the Tundra we could squeeze it. We work and worked hard for the rig, but traveling the highways we wanted to have a reliable and safe 4x4 with excellent longevity. Plus, my 95 y/o mom can get into the LX (barely) when we lower it. At this point at around 60 years old, these are the last vehicles my hubby and I will ever own.

the previous owner bought it as CPO and sold it back to Lexus of Sacramento. I guess the dealer paid 50k for the car and they still made decent profit from me. I searched across the country for a deal and it took me half a year. I had seen and test driven many LX 570 in person before I flew to Sacramento from Long Beach to pick it up. last year local dealers here would easily ask 64k for the same car and it would be gone for a week. as consumers we just have to do it this way. I sold my 2019 GX 460 with 56k miles to Carmax and got 32k from it. they sold it for 36k.
The AHC and A-TRAC make LX 570 drive on the mud and sand like the pavement. even without Low 4 wheel drive and crawl control. It's so luxurious and comfortable.
