Another LX 570 Tire Question
I have read the tire threads but can't find all the info I need so here goes & TYIA
I'm likely purchasing a 2015 LX570 next week that has aftermarket 18" rims
but LOUD AF mud tires that I will be replacing ASAP w/new 18s
Can anyone tell me some/most/all the possible 18" tire sizes that will fit (& the ~2-3 best sizes / best for the vehicle) ?
I've seen everything from 285/60/18 to 275/75/18 & others / Would like to search/find the best deal & prices seem to be all over the place (based on size, etc)
Any/all help is appreciated... If there's a link w/all the info please post it below...

285/60 18 I believe is the OEM size for 18inch wheels. This is the landcruiser OEM size because lx570 did not actually come with 18inch wheels stock. For quiet highway tires looks like Michelin defender ms2 and Yokohama geolander HT G056 are good and similar. I think most would prefer Michelin, I have the Yokohama in 21 inch and it is good. The Yokohama is significantly cheaper on tire rack.
Anyone veered away from 285/60/18s ? My '15 LX570 has 275/65/18s, but I'm tire shopping b/c they're loud mud tires & I hate them
Found some new take offs for <1/2 price but they're 265/70/18s & a little concerned about performance/fit

Ended up going back w/Toyo 275/65-R18s b/c I found a deal (& they have really improved the ride & noise). Those damn Kenda R/T tires that were on it when I bought it are for sale (cheap) if anyone is near 32408...

The LX 570 originally had 20 or 21 inch wheels. The Landcruisee did come with 18x8 inch wheels. The stock size is 285/60 18. If you seek a quiet ride go with Michelin defender ltx ms2. Or the Yokohama geolander HT g056 if you want a bit cheaper. I have driven both and they are similar, quiet comfortable

These have plenty of room all around & I think the difference in diameter is negligible
I think the Speedo error is no problem as long as you get it close, most aftermarket wheels have much less offset, maybe it might tire choice if you go larger diameter. Stock is I think +60, aftermarket are like 30 or less so it swings the tire more into the wheel well with turning. It should be much issue with stock sizes or close to that
275/65/18 will make your speedo accurate to within 1mph.

Thanks... Ended up finding 2) '<1k mi. New-ish Take Off' Toyo 275/65-18s for $150 (& a newish Michelin spare for $40), so only had to buy 2 'new' Toyos & the dealer got everything swapped for me & I saved ~$500... Much better ride & looks fine... I think the 265/70/18s would have looked ridiculous as you stated...
