Default Timing Belt defect?

I’m replacing the timing belt on a 2002 lx470. I took the old one off and started to check it with the replacement. The replacement was from an Aisin kit. The belt says Mitsubishi, whereas the original says Toyota. Anyway, while comparing belts for correct markings, size and overall cosmetics I saw 2 teeth on the belt that has portion of the fiber coming out.
Long story short, they are sending a new belt. I’m willing to try again because of the high regard towards Aisin parts on this site. Has anyone come across this issue or has similar story?

I thought a picture would help. Its a small defect but in 2 locations. Having the fibers exposed was the reason I returned it. Remember to inspect anything you regardless of being new, especially such a time consuming repair.
