2. And $250 to $300 is about the going dealer rate. If you check the Club Lexus Marketplace under approved vendors, one of the dealerships has a pretty good deal going. I'll probably pick up an extra key for each of mine.

2 remotes. I may have a master or valet but I have never used them.

Michael,

You should really get that second key with the remote. If you loose that only remote key...your in big trouble to try and get a remote again. Dont loose your remote key until you get the second key.

Dave
Thanks for advise. I have found out from the orginal owner of my LX that there were two sets of keys, he called our dealership to find out what happend to the second set. To make a long story short the salesman who took my LX in on trade lost the second set and told the GM (who is a friend of mine) that the orginal owner only gave him one key. The guy was off today so the GM told me to call him tommrow to find out what happened. He seemed to be steamed at the salesman who more or less lied to him. The orginal owner of my LX was hot also because the salesman made it look like he held back the keys, and this guy is a very big customer of the dealership. So I hope this dude comes up with the keys he has lost. Dave did you get two remote keys and one valet key with your LX. I found the CC key in the owners manuel right were the last owner said it was. So I do not doubt there was a second set of keys. I just do not like the ideal of a set of keys out there some were to my truck unattended. Sorry for the long post but thanks for the advice from all.

All Lexus come with two master remote keys, one valet key (grey) and the credit card key.

Where did you get the truck? They should give you another key, especially if its a Lex dealer.

I got the LX at a local dealer. They offered to sell me keys at cost and program them free, but I have found much better price, from form members and the information to program the keys myself. I am not upset about it, I got the truck for wholesale so the cost of new keys is not all that bad. I just did not like the thought of someone else with keys to my truck.
