lx470 navigation system offroad???
went out for a drive up in the mountains with the lx470 this past weekend... and the navigation system was showing all the roads i traveled, but for some reason, it would show me traveling like offroad and parallel to the road, but never on the road, but i swear i was on the road - is anyone else having this issue???

You probably were going off the road and didn't notice muahaha
jk, since the roads are not that old around that area, they might have gotten the wrong plots for them, nothing like downtown or other city areas that have been around for decades. If Im not wrong those roads where you were arent older than 4yrs or so

those roads have been there for the longest time... older than 4... 10+ years old, so it wouldn't be a time factor. besides, they are some of the major roads in that area too, it wouldn't make sense for them not to be plotted correctly.
I have had that effect in the SC when travelling around Delaware and Maryland on recently modified highways. The nav would show the car off and on the main roads. I am assuming that the mapping on the DVD does not reflect the true mapping of the roads.
Also there can sometimes be some interfearence with the satellite reception that can plot the vehicle slightly off of the road. Might have been the particular time of the incident not the placement of the roadway.
