LX470 Remote (transponder) programming problem
Folks -
Bought a remote for my 2000 LX470 from Ebay. Followed all the instructions. Everything checks out, but the lock/unlock buttons don't work !
Got replacement from seller (he was kind) and still same problem.
Step 10 (close door) is the last one, and door cycles lock/unlock, as noted.
But the damn thing just won't work.
Any suggestions ?
Tried searching earlier posts, and played with several alternatives (suggested for other vehicles). No luck :-(
Any help appreciated.

Problem resolved.
Apparently my LX470 had reached the max number of programmable remotes.
Found a new (non-dealer) Lexus/Toyota mechanic who reset the count for free !
I highly recommend this mechanic for anyone in Austin, TX.

Not sure. He said he had to stick some reader in the LX computer, determine # of remotes programmed, and then erase all but master. Then he programmed the new one. I guess the trick is in the gadget :-(
