What is the best source for a 20” spare wheel for an LS500 with 245/45/20 tires, correct hubcentric and width and offset? Wheel does not have to match OEMs, may even be a plain steel wheel.

 

THis for the trunk or garage? MOdern spare has donut for the LS500.

 

Well I suppose I would keep it in the trunk. I would prefer a conventional wheel and tire that is the correct offset and overall diameter in case I need to run it for a long distance. I always assumed running some oddball size that doesn’t match the opposite tire would be a bad idea.

 

Do you know what's annoying? I bought my wife a 2022 RX 350 with 20's on it and tried the mini spare on my 2018 LS with 20's ....guess what ? the bolt pattern is slightly different...just barely... It's like they really don't want us to have a spare.

 

Modernspare.com sells a correct diameter tire and wheel that should work, or you could just chance it and go with a tire inflator, jack, torque wrench with socket, tire plug kit, can of fix a flat, and a concealed weapon should you get stranded in a dangerous area.
My son just bought a 2023 Acura RDX that did not come with a spare, and it did not even come with runflats.
