2022 LS - RSA not working
Rented a 2021 LS on Turo for a few days and loved the car.
Got my 2022 LS early last month. The car drives and rides very well (Sports mode is mandatory on freeways as Normal mode can feel indecisive at times).
Love the car.
But two things are now bothering me a little:
- RSA is not working. No road signs are displayed on the Multi Information Display, nor on the HUD. Technology person at the dealership couldn’t figure this out. Brought the car into another dealership’s service department (closer to home) where they spent the whole day testing, hard restarting software, trying to figure it out but no luck. All settings were verified to be what they are supposed to be.
Does anyone else experience this as well?
As far as I remember the rental 2021 LS showed the Road Signs just fine.
- A very subtle but noticeable rattle in D when stationary, coming from somewhere behind the new touch screen central display. This comes and goes & is intermittent.
Would appreciate it if anyone can share their experience, or even a fix!
Wishing you all a great Feb ahead.

As to the rattle, I had a similar rattle and finally figured out it was coming from the plastic casing around the rear view mirror where it meets the windshield. Dealer fixed it by putting foam trim inside and completely gone. Maybe the same source as your rattle?
A new thing Lexus does now for SIGNS on HUD and the monitor behind your steering wheel. The Information Center behind your steering wheel must be set to Road Indicator=Two White Lines so the Signs work. Do not set that monitor for Radio or directions or compass. The White Lines are part of the Keeping in Lane, etc.
Hmm, will observe this the next time I get back to my car in a few weeks. Thank you for the reply l, Fhobbs!

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
Just an update, that they finally are issuing this under ‘Safety Recalls’ on the Lexus app. Will bring my car in soon.

Took my 2022 LS back to dealer after getting the RSA Reprogram notice above. That update changed the location of the Speed Limit sign display from the right (12.3 in screen) to the center screen (behind steering wheel). It also enabled the "exceeding posted speed limit" alert, which now shows a small red outline around the speed limit sign if I'm 5 mph over. (There is an available audible alert for this as well, which I've disabled).
What still are NOT displayed are STOP signs, YIELD signs, and DO NOT ENTER signs. Obviously, I can live without those - but the LS instruction manual says they're supposed to be there. A minor complaint I know, but when we drop this much $$ for a luxury sedan, I'd like to have what the instruction manual says I should.

And I agree that it's silly to need a tiny Stop sign on your dashboard when you've hopefully spied the actual sign 100 yds back. A more useful (and hopefully rare) trick, is that the LS will sound a warning buzzer if you pass a Do Not Enter sign! This will apparently occur regardless of which tab has been selected on the Multi-info display. (I elected not to check this function out personally... :-)
Again regarding RSA: Has anybody yet experienced the warning buzzer that will apparently sound if you inadvertently enter a "Do Not Enter" lane? I know that this would be a rare (and possibly catastrophic) event - but just wondering. I'm still delighted with the LS500.
Hi Folks,
This is a new topic. I still love my 2022 LS500, but am slightly disturbed about the center console door being slightly loose. When I rest my right elbow on the console, there appears to be a small amount of play there, resulting in a low-pitched "click" sound. My service dept said that nothing appears to be wrong, and nothing can be done to stop this. Perhaps a trivial detail, but I wish that it were not there. Has anybody else noticed this?

Yes when I was looking at a couple of 2023's noticed one of them had play in the center console. Soon as your elbow rested on it you could hear the sound and feel movement. The other LS which i purchased did not exhibit this issue.
