Does Lexus have a remedy yet for the low pressure fuel pump that is part of a recall?

Got my oil changed last month I believe and they didn't have the part yet. With the Corona virus, things might be delayed even longer.

 

No replacement fuel pumps yet. Lexus will send another letter when parts are available. I got the recall letter today.

I took my 2018 in for 15k mi service today to the Lexus Dealer and the Service Advisor said it came up my car was under the fuel pump recall - so they performed the replacement right then.

I also inquired about the apple CarPlay install (mine did not have CarPlay) and they said sure, we’ll update it. Which they did at no charge. I thought they would charge the $199 mentioned in other posts here.

Im on a roll with this car.

 

Got my fuel pump replaced on Tuesday, was in and out within 3 hours or so. I don’t have any real mods to the car other than I take, cat back, tune and air bags. No issues with my local dealer fixing my car.

 

strange why my dealer told me 3-5 days to replace it....I waited about a week after he ordered it...now they called to schedule and set up my loaner...Do i need to have fuel as low as possible or it wont matter

 

I have not seen, read or heard anything about fuel level in connection with the fuel pump replacement. I did not notice any difference in fuel level when I received my car back after pump replacement.

 

you want the fuel just below half at least since they are going into the fuel area just makes it better for them, also they are supposed to fill your tank for free with any recall.

 

I never even thought about it, but mine was at about 1/3 tank. Got it back with a full tank. But yeah, they had to order the part and it took about a week.
