LS500 vs Audi A8
I doubt the A8 would beat out the LS in too many catagories.
One place would be speed. Coming from an S8, I miss the acceleration.
And coming from an S8, I appreciate that my LS starts every time.

When it comes to long term ownership no doubt the Lexus will hold the lead.
I read a thread on the Audi forum and someone did a road noise comparison and the LS is one of the loudest of all the flagships. Doesn't bother me, I don't need the quietest car. I also read the A8 has the softest ride out of all the flagships. Some people call it too floaty.
I traded a 2016 A8 Sport (450 hp) for the 2019 LS 500. A fair comparison would be to compare it to the 2019 A8, so my comments hold little value. However I would feel comfortable saying the Lexus attention to little details in the technology would be tough to beat. I would also say the my A8 was a teutonic sledge hammer, a real beast. HOWEVER, I live on Long Island NY and I am often in traffic. The LS 500 has a true messaging seat, including the panel under your butt which was a seller for me. Additionally, I had little opportunity to really "drive" the A8. It was also nice to have a change. My LS was fully loaded and is a pleasure to drive.

C&D has ranked the new A8 as one of the if not the quietest car on the road. This is better than the S class which used to hold the title. Also with the predictive suspension new A8 has got the ride covered. There was a discussion on this forum where I read about the A8 on comfort.

The Lexus LS seems like the most compelling package of the 3 as a whole.
