Default Interior Quality - center console 2018 LS5

Ok, I'm not usually one for complaining and I'm not sure that I'm really going to complain or just annoyed. The center console really bugs me that it is not tight and snug to fit. For example, naturally it's designed to rest your right (driver) Left (passenger forearm on it and relax. However, the darn thing seems really flimsy as there is play in the connection to the latches. I mean I can literally see it move up and down when I touch it. It's almost as if the latch on either side does not pull it down or lock it in tight enough. Anyone else has this experience ?

I solved that problem for $4 at Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt...9969/203661151 (These fit perfectly.)

On my car, the play was in the back of the console. It's perfectly snug now.

If it makes you guys feel better, this isn't exclusive to the LS. We've had an S550 with the same dual-hinged lid and it did the same thing. I too added felt to the underside to get it to stop, but there were a lot of areas in that car that needed felt to stop the play & lots of creaking noises, so if that's the only spot you're finding issues like this, consider yourself lucky.

So I tested mine and it doesnt move at all. So I didn't bother with getting the piece. Maybe its only a select few with that issue or maybe over time of use.

Got these a few days ago but I think I might take it to get it repaired instead. I just hate taking my car in because there's always risk of damage.

I used the largest ones in the pack. The smaller ones were too tall and the armrest wouldn't stay closed.

this didn’t really work for me. Noise was still happening at the front.

I stuck 2 small ones at the back of the front tray and that fixed the problme
