I have the floppy gas cap door on 2019 LS, my dealer says that Lexus doesn't have a fix yet. Great!

 

Mines is the same. And the slightest breeze will make it close.

 

At least ur Lexus deals says there’s isn’t a fix, my deal just said it’s supposed to be that way

 

When I got the car I didnt have this issue, currently I have the issue now, as someone stated the slightest breeze will cause it to close even with the gas cap.

 

...quotation marks imply dubious job. Yes, door hinge is tighter, but doesn't open all the way, now.

Regarding dubious build quality, last generation was B E T T E R made. Vault like ride: gone. Unbreakable: gone. Repeat visits: oh, yeah.

 

Design fault. Not normal.

 

Mine does the same. When I took it to the dealer, they said there was a TSB issued for it and they would order parts. When I called to see if the parts were in they said they were, but potentially the wrong parts and now the new technician can't find a TSB related to it. SMH.

 

I have the same gas cap/door problem on my 2019 LS 500... I’m taking it into the dealer tomorrow for the antifreeze smell issue; I’ll also be asking about the gas door not staying open. Mines doesn’t have any resistance at all, so the door tents to close knocking the gas cap out of the holder and then swinging along side the car body☹️

The dealer decided to order a new gas door. No explanation of the problem was determined🙄

 

Is there a service bulletin for this issue? Anyone have the number?

 

Mine keeps falling closed still. Dealer says its normal.

 

Mine would also close on me, till once i pulled it open "TOO" far, and found that it stayed in place. Not a real click, but like a friction hold. only an inch from being floppy, works well, and I think of this page each time I fill the tank.

Tried this today and the door touched the fender. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
