Default LS first drive at Skywalker Ranch

David from the HP just got to check out the new LS 500 at Skywalker Ranch, and he cam away impressed. Some of the attention to detail he points out in his review is totally mind-blowing. I mean, when's the last time you've seen door panels this beautiful? We'll obviously be waiting for confirmation of a F version, but until then, check out his impressions new of the new Lexus flagship sedan here!

I agree the LS500 interior is gorgeous! Especially the Kiriko cut glass door panels. As for the F version, please check out the reviews on the other thread. Some of them drove the F-sport.

The cut glass is unreal. For sure.

Default POV Drive in the LS

The car did all the "talking". Watch this video with headphones if possible. Enjoy :-)

Is it that fake audio sound and not the real engine sound?

"...with the 2018 refreshes being a noticeable-but-comfortable foot-and-a-half wider than the 2018 LC coupes."

That can't be right. The LC is nearly 76" wide. So the new LS is... 94" wide? The newest Cadillac Escalade is 81" wide. So the new LS is a foot wider than an Escalade? Only a few inches shy the width of a commercial freight truck.

Maybe my math is wrong.

You may have read or heard wrong. Here are the dimensions copied from https://www.thecarconnection.com/overview/lexus_ls_2018

By the spec sheet, it’s an inch longer than the long-wheelbase 2017 LS sedan, with a 123.0-inch wheelbase that is 1.3 inches longer. The car sits 0.6 inches lower, while the hood is 1.2 inches lower and the trunk is 1.6 inches lower. Overall length is 206.1 inches, and width, 74.8 inches.

Ah, Ok. Yeah I was just quoting directly from the article by "David Ciminelli" linked to in the original post. Looks like his math was way off. Thx
