Stylewise, the Genesis G90 would be great alternative for someone looking for something more traditionally styled, maybe coming from an LS430 and to a slightly lesser extent, the current 460.

Yes, they look the same. Not a bad thing at all. Compared to its competition like the G90, this is way more exciting outside.

I don't do anything special with the dark blues. Once a year, clay, polish, wax. Not perfect, but pretty nice looking. When I had black cars, it didn't matter what I did, I got swirls, etc, and that is for the little time after a wash/wax that the car still looked clean.

Interesting... I have to say that though my swirls aren't that bad, they are there. My color is Black Sapphire Pearl. I meant to buy a good orbital and some good products last summer but never got around to it. This Spring for sure. Thanks for your help and feedback (and sorry for the derail)!

Well while we hoped two wheelbases would be offered, I think we all saw the writing on the wall.
However, I would imagine the SWB outsold the LWB by a significant margin. Now you can speculate that people chose the SWB over the LWB for either price or the LWB was just too big, which makes their decision even more curious.
That's why I think price will be critical to how well this thing sells. If they base price it at $85k, that is a gigantic step up from what the normal new LS buyer was accustomed to. Moreover, I think it's rare for even major generational changes in the same model to increase almost $10k in base price. Yearly changes are fairly benign and while new generations offer the chance to increase it even more, going from $78k (current MSRP base for the L) to $85k is a huge jump.

The fact that it's LWB only doesn't surprise me. Like I said before, everybody else went to LWB only in the US. Only Lexus and Jaguar were the holdouts.
