well guys and gals we are already seeing preliminary price ranges for the 460, and a lot of us are unhappy. when i first read that the 460L would be 86,000 i was kind of suprised. i personally feel if each model 460 and 460L dropped 10 grand then there would be a LOT more SMILES what ya'll think????????

i disagree. look at the other post again where spwolf talked about "similarly equipped cars"

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=226509

lexus price seems high when you just blindly talk about fully loaded or whatever loaded, but you have to look at all options.

yes everyone would be very happy if the car is 10k less, but at the same time there is no way we see lexus losing money too

if you think 460 prìcing was bad, compare similarly equipped BMW 750 and MB S550, they dont even come close to the number of features and options. Fully loaded standard wheelbase is still 10k cheaper than a bare bones S550 and same price as a BMW 750 bare bones

On Edmunds, a poster already provided what I will consider the most SOLID evidence yet of the new LS pricing. Read it for yourself...

Starting at $60K makes sense. I hope the base model will come with more standard equipment than the outgoing model. Lexus has a loyal following. Many will turn in their current LS for the new one and Lexus should not create a price strategy that will alienate those customers.

Also, BMW & Mercedes still have the "prestige" factor. Pricing the LS to close to the 750L & S550 will push those customers to go for the "real deal".

There's enough nutswingers to go either way and buy for or against Lexus. They just need to remember who they are; Audi, and Jaguar didn't and as a result suffered alot in the past 10 years.
