Default 2026 Lexus LS500

Hi all,

There seems to be next to no information on the 2026 LS500. Nothing on this forum either...

Does anyone know anything? There are a total of absolutely 0 Lexus LS500s at ANY dealer lot in the entirety of Canada. Lexus has said they discontinued the LS in the UK but have no plans to in North America. YouTube has some pretty insane renderings of the 'next' LS500, but...there's nothing official at all and/or very little rumours.

Does anyone know? I'm in the market for a winter beater (a 3rd car) and i'm in between the LS500 and the Range Rover.

I've heard a few rumors. The one that makes the most sense IMO is that the new LS will be a crossover. Similar to how the Toyota Crown replaced the Avalon. Nobody wants a sedan anymore.

20% of new vehicle sales in the United States are sedans, apparently Lexus doesn't see that as a big enough market.

Default Es500

Other than being wrong wheel drive, the upcoming ES500 almost seems like an LS replacement.
whatever the case, I expect the next LS to be hybridized with a lot of horsepower.
let’s hope Lexus won’t disappoint us.

I do. I hate crossovers and SUVs. If I needed that I'd just buy a truck.

Crown sedan and Signa is an interesting take as is those large X6 and other Teutonic offerings.
Luxury are traditionally are big which is why Escalade and others do very well.
I expect a five door sleek powerful luxury offering from Lexus as the new LS. To models like the Crown? Maybe? Love the panamerical shooting brake style and i'd be down for something like that.

I was told they’re going to increase the size of the ES to replace the LS in 2026.

The ES is a bit more upscale then previous and looks great. It might be "replacing" it in the lineup as the largest offered sedan and given a new model the most technologically advanced but its not really replacing it. It will sell for 10's of thousands less and won't be in the same category.

If you were told this by a sales person its kind of an accurate statement. Sort of in the same vein that the Acura TLX can say its their flagship sedan. The MDX for now is flagship luxury barge. Until a new LS is presented they can say similar. The LX will be thelr flagship luxury car. The LC coupe I don't know if its continued. Its on the same platform as the LS.

Default Stretched ES

I’m afraid they might stretch the ES500 a few inches, give it more hp, new sheet metal, load it up with features, luxury interior, build it in Kentucky.

I doubt that but I'd be afraid too as it might sport a Landau Roof, Opera lights and window too? Designer additions?
ZoZo? Hello Kitty?

Hail yes, and a Continental Kit would put the runflat tire issue to rest.

I think the LS is dead as a fried chicken. There are 24 nationwide for sale.

I agree. Wondering if the sales downfall was dropping the V8 for the V6, or just the popularity of SUVs.
