That's a Toyota pn. Not sure why they wouldn't be using Toyota oil when that's what they stated they used. Not sure who makes Toyota oil. Perhaps it's ExxonMobil.
I know that Subaru, for instance, uses Idemitsu.
A quick google search says that ExxonMobil does make Toyota oil. It's the additive package that matters. If the Toyota package is different than Mobil1, I suppose that could be a problem.

My dealer has Lexus, Toyota, Audi, BMW, all next to each other but in separate facilities. For whatever it’s worth, I suspect they may be using the same Mobil1 for all dealerships regardless of what the invoice says.

That being said if the dealer can cross ref this exhaustive list and find common ground, their bulk supplier could get one oil theoretically to meet them all.

or 5w 30, interesting. May I ask the year of your LS and which country sold?
I would like to switch to 5w 30 mobile 1.
Mostly makes sense but not sure I want to try it without manufacturer saying it's ok in writing. Thank You!

My factory manual tells me so. I have been using Mobil EP, but I think AMSOIL SS is more protective. I may switch to AMSOIL in the future.
