Default Coolant level decreasing

Hello fellow LS 500 enthusiasts!
I have a 2022LS 500 and notice that the right hand coolant tank (reservoir) level, over the last two years has gone down a bit, not a lot.
Anyone else experienced this condition?
Could this be normal? I think this tank is tied in with the intercoolers?
As an aircraft mechanic, I'm guessing that the coolant is going somewhere.
Best,

The reservoir on passenger side of car is engine coolant. The reservoir on driver side of car is for the intercoolers.
I had a leaking water pump at 37,000 miles that was replaced under warranty. That’s the only time my car has needed to have coolant added.

Oh no, that means maybe I have a water pump leak at twenty six thousand miles!

I thought the right hand coolant tank was for the intercoolers, thanks for Straightening me out.

It could be normal but a simple test is to have the cooling system pressurized. Any radiator shop can do this. You can too if you get a test kit. They are about $60, plus you may need the right adapter for your radiator.

Your water pump is externally mounted at the front upper portion of your engine on the passenger side. Remove the engine cover to get a good view of it. Mine was covered with pink residue. Dealer said it was rare for a water pump to be defective on such a new LS500.

You could be right. Maybe no big deal.
in almost two years, it took only eight ounces.
However, that eight ounces went somewhere.
My drivers side reservoir hasn't gone down even one ounce in that time period.

Check under your car when the engine is cold. Even 1 drop of pink coolant should be cause for alarm.

with so much plastic under the engine it could not show up.
My wife's Audi water pump started leaking and Never showed a drop under the car. While not a drastic drop the coolant got low and I had to top it off. Again a few weeks later. Now prompted I located the pump and with a flashlight spend some time looking about the nooks and cranny's and saw a small puddle of coolant that had gathered on the block and dropped below onto a plastic floor. That said I self diagnosed it. I also looked up in my files and found a letter that had extended the warranty of the part and if replaced would replace at no cost. All in all Paid for no parts but had to pay for labor and some gaskets/parts related but it cut the bill costing me only $800. If not, it was almost $2k.

This at 77k miles on it. Otherwise its been a great car with no repairs to speak of.

Lesson to share? Its always possible last service might have short changed the coolant. its possible and not the end of the world. If so and you top it off yourself, and it happens again perhaps there is an issue.
