Driver profiles - automatic loading - does it work?
I have a new '23 LS500. Nice car, but the media does not make sense. We have two drivers. The seats, mirrors, etc. are personalized based on which key is used (sensible), but the driver profiles are said to be saved in the cloud, and work through the iPhone. Nothing seems to work as stated in the Multimedia manual. The iPhone app does not even allow loading of the primary driver profile into the app (perhaps that is supposed to be saved in the car?) I have a profile saved for the second driver in the app, but that does not load, even if you try to refresh manually on the screen. Presently, the screen says no profile is loaded when either driver is designated on the screen.
At present, in order to change the driver in the media system, you have to go into settings and enter a password. What a pain. This should also be based on the key. The manual says the car will recognize the driver if the Lexus app is open on the phone when you start the car. That does not happen either.
Has anyone figured out the system. Even the salesman at Lexus says it doesn't work.
