Default 2023 LS 500 Not Starting

I had an odd thing happen last evening. My 2023 LS 500 has 1650 miles on it and when I went to get it out of the garage, the error message on the dash said hold brake than press the start button. I had the brake pushed as I usually do, but I just could not get the car to start. Tried this about a dozen times. Came back 6 hours later, and the car started fine. Anyone experience this intermittent issue? I also noticed that on the Lexus app. it showed that the car was closed and locked when it was not. It usually shows that the car is unlocked and that the keys are in it. Thanks in advance for your input.

never experienced it before on my 2018. Maybe try changing out the key fob battery? The transponder may not be relaying correctly. Just a thought, as it’s a cheap thing to try out. GL.

Took the car in to my dealer today, they found nothing wrong as there were no codes in the computer. Hoping this problem does not continue.

Really strange -- has not happened on our 2023. Hope it doesn't happen to you again.

Had this happen three more times. Dash error message states that you must put your foot on the brake to start, but foot is on the brake pedal. I had to push the park button than try the start button more than ten times before the car would finally start. Question for the group. If the car needs to be towed, how would I get the car in neutral to pull it onto a flatbed? I really don't want it drug in park.

Did you change the battery?
For that matter, can you use the 2nd key fob next time it happens?

Just an FYI for anyone looking to have their LS500 flatbed towed. If the car will not run and there is still battery left, you can push the start button and after the dash lights up, pull the shifter into neutral for 5 seconds and the car will come out of park and be able to roll on its own. If there is no battery power, you must apply a jump pack to the battery and repeat the above procedure.

Check your 12 volt battery.

I had a similar issue where car would not but got an error message with the shift malfuntion, parking malfunction. Replaced the 12 volt battery resolved the issue
