Default Chewed-up door frame fabric

Is anyone having a problem with the fabric covering the front door frames ("B pillars") on their LS460s getting chewed up? I've had to have mine replaced twice so far (in a car I bought in April 2012). This has never happened before in any car I've ever owned.

there is a tsib about it and there is a new design cover that is supposedly better on the wear (from seat belt). are you using the updated design already?

Mine were replaced with the new flat version with no step..as Rominl said, there is a TSB to replace them if you are within your 4/50 warranty. I saw the service invoice and the two panels with labor showed about $850! Free for me tho

Lextrician - Its the middle part (b-pillars) where the doors meet. Basically right beside your left arm on the driver side.

I've noticed this on the passenger side of my car as well. It was like it when I got it as a CPO in August. I didn't catch it until recently when I was Lexol'ing the car.

I've looked on the safercar.gov site, and I can't find any TSBs related to this for an '08 LS460.

How are you finding this?
