Without error codes, it is impossible to tell. I would guess, water got somewhere it shouldn't be...

The trouble light can come on for multiple issues. Hook a code reader to OBD2 port and get the trouble codes first. It could be as simple as a wheel speed sensor.

Do you know if a power washer was used under the hood to clean the engine bay area?

If it is the case, you might have to check connectors around the ABS system for presence of water. Also, I wound use compressed air to try drying under the hood as much as possible.

At this point, compressed air is not going to do anything. If you got lucky and the system just has a poor connection, you will have to clean basically majority of connectors under the hood.

Overall, it is a bad idea to use a pressure washer for under hood cleaning.

I read a little bit more about c1201 and it seems to be a generic error. It technically does not have anything to do with ABS but more with communication between the engine and the ECU. Do you have any other error codes?

C1201 is caused by loss in connection to the skid control ECU. I would start from there.

It seems likely that you have accidentally turned the VSC off while you were cleaning. I don’t remember if it is on the dash or the center console. Look around, it should be easy to spot. It may be labeled TRAC.
