Default Amsoil vs TRD oil filter

I bought a couple TRD oil filters this summer but I wanted to see what the Amsoil was like in comparison. They are identical except for different color housing o-rings and the TRD has a stamp on both ends. Here in Alberta the TRD filter from a dealer is $10 cheaper than the Amsoil filter.

I get it, you like your car. But what is the point of either of those? I can get 5 regular OEM filters than one TRD that will last me 25k miles, at least. You might do on either of those around 15k miles.

LS460 V8 is has no known issues with oil starvation if regular OEM parts used. And LS460 V8 is proven to last 200k miles easily on OEM filters if properly serviced. I believe, such filters are trying to solve a problem that does not exist.

I'm not really crazy about that car to tell the truth but I only put on approx 5k kilometres a year, I've had this car for just over a year and put 4k on it. I have a couple of trucks that I use most of the time so it's not like I'm spending much for maintenance usually once every 6 months.
Those yzz filters are crap imo, not long ago people on this forum were dead set against changing transmission fluid...probably some still are. I only joined last year but I read alot.

I've taken a few filters apart back in the day for various reasons and I know the filters that came installed on Toyota vehicles were very different inside as far as the amount of material used and the ones that replaced them on a first service had way less., that was in the 90's.

There is no point to either one, I wanted to see what the amsoil filter looked like and was planning to do my next oil change with the kit and see if anything magical happened.

I like the OP prefer a metal end cap and O-ring so I know all oil MUST go though the element.
