Question TRD Oil filter:

Anybody ever used (or are currently using) TRD (Toyota Racing Development) oil filters on their vehicles? Just courious how they have performed, the cost compared to the regular "Toyota" oil filters & finally does anybody have the part number(s) for a 2001 ES? (should be the same as tht V6 Camry 97 - 01?) How much better is the TRD filter suppose to be over other filters on the market?

This is a product which I definitely think is not worth it. The OEM Toyota/Denso made in Japan filters are more than adequate filters to do the job. The TRD ones...you're basically throwing your money into the TRD name for this one. If you want a good aftermarket filter, Purolator Pure One filters are great, but the OEM Toyota/Denso Japan filters are the best in my opinion.

Cool

OEM knows best...

Just use the $4 Camry filter.
