Hi everyone,,
My car is LS460L 2007
I was changed 3 new tpms sensors that was not readings according to Techstream
the sensors are PMV-107J and wrote the ID by carista but unfortunately it’s not working
I checked the other two it is PMV-C11A and it’s working fine
I don’t know why the new one not work because I was bought it by VIN number to make sure I don’t get wrong sensor,,, any idea what I should to do?
Chinese TPMS are often poor quality as report by many members on this forum. You should purchase Denso, OEM brand. This is likely your problem. You should also replace all 5 sensors at the same time. Spare tire too.
Mine were replaced at discount tire at $60 each including labor. Even with their professional tools it took them 20 minutes to program/connect the sensors.

I'm not certain, but you may have received counterfeit sensors. Pacific is the manufacturer of TPMS sensors for many OEM applications including Lexus, and unfortunately, there are an abundance of fakes out there. What was the price of the sensors? A few years ago, I purchased a wheel/tire package from Tire Rack and paid $48 each for genuine Pacific Industries sensors and registered/uploaded them to my 2007 LS460 L without any issues whatsoever.

it’s cost me 65$ for 4 set
I have gs350 2014 i was paid around 75$ for 4 set and its work fine
So i think it will work for LS but it’s look like dead

You are right i think this is the problem now i must by for labor same price of all set to remove and return back to the seller

I was knows it’s not original cause it cost me only 65$ for 4 paces but i was hope at least it work 😞
its quite tricky to program them. The manager of the Discount tire store has to do it since the others could not get it to work.
I’m already have techstream and carista app
I can’t program it by teachstraem i think because the VIM cable but it can program easily by carista app and when I check by TIS the new sensors was add in tpms ecu
Toyota systems will lock you out sometimes. No matter what you do the ECU won’t allow the ID’s to be stored and most of the higher end tpms scan tools have an option to unlock them. It really helps to have a real tpms scan tool to program them. One of the biggest steps people make with the scan tool is they don’t do the last step. Once the ID’s are entered into the ECU the tire light usually starts flashing. Each sensor needs to be rescanned so the ECU stores the ID. If you just try to drive the car it doesn’t always take.

PMV-107 TPMS sensors work on 2007 LS460. The difference between no-name (as shown in your photos) and OE (Toyota/Lexus/Denso) TPMS sensors is the lifespan. No-name TPMS sensors like the ones shown in your photos work on LS460/LS460. They just don't last that long. My no-name TPMS sensor lasted only16 months. In contrast, the Lexus original TPMS sensor on my 2008 LS460 lasted more than 12 years. It seems to me that the problem you encountered is that you didn't successfully register the TPMS in the ECU. Most cheap USB OBD2 VCI J2534 cables can only read data but can't write data into the ECU. You need a good quality OBD2 VCI connector for Techstream to register the TPMS sensors in the ECU. I bought several cheap USB OBD2 VCI cables but none of them allowed me to register TPMS sensor IDs into ECU (they could read data), until I bought a VXDIAG VCX Nano cable for approximately $85 (3 years ago). The VCX Nano cable/connector allowed me to use Techstream to write TPMS ID's into ECU. BTW, if you can, use Techstream 15 or newer version, which allows you to enter TPMS sensor ID's all at once on one screen. With earlier versions of Techstream, you need to enter the TPMS ID one at a time/screen within a short allowable time, or it will time out and you'll have to do it all over again. For registering TPMS sensor ID's, Techstream version 15 and above is a big improvement. I'm using Techstream version 17. Lots of info from members here. While you can DIY, I hope you can see that it's not simple and will likely cost you more money for cables or a device. The simplest thing to do is go to Costco, or any national tire chain store. They will supply and install the sensors, warranty the product and labor, and you're done. Unless you enjoy all these complications of DIY.

You are so right about the cost. My cost of buying tools for replacing the two TPMS sensors on my LS460 probably cost me more than the cost of having a tire store doing it. However, I enjoy DIY on my cars. It gives me a sense of fulfillment every time I completed a DIY job on my cars. I'm not doing DIY to save money in most cases. DIY makes me proud of myself and proves that I'm capable of solving problems outside of my regular line of work (outside my real job).
