Just finished the fluid changes, they all looked good...no milky fluid and still pretty clean but the fluid was 9 yrs old. Funny but the LL80 fluid doesn't smell like any lsd fluid I've ever used, just smells like regular diff fluid (old and new).The lx fluid kinda smells like the ws...both the rear diff and transfer case were easy but.....
I don't know who the idiot was that designed the front end of those cars(awd) but someone should give them a hurt...real badd. There is a connector with a cover right in front of the fill plug for the front diff, i'm assuming it's the electrical connector for the eps. I saw someone had to cut off an Allen wrench to remove it and I had to do the same, I will never change the fr diff fluid again. I'm guessing this also is considered a lifetime fluid by the lexus techs.....the connector is circled in the picture.
