2010 Low Mileage Swb worth it?
Hi Ls gang,
I'm still on the look out for a Ls.
Is an AWD 2010 Low Mileage Swb worth it? Only about 32000 miles. AWD, air suspension. Asking price is about $10k more than a higher milage 07 08 base. No rear side curtains or obviously ottoman which I would like. But it does have rear reclining seats. Is it worth to look at and deal with air suspension issues. Or would you guys recommend holding out for the full fat L? I've only driven and sat in L models so not sure exactly how big of a difference the Swb is.

what's the price? is it $17k or $23k? big difference
if it has the condition, options, and colors you wanted with good service history, then it may be worth the $10k premium.
But just the model year and about 80k less miles don't justify a $10k premium to me.. maybe $5k-$7k max since it's not like you are getting factory warranty..
Now.. if you said a 2010 vs a 2013 (facelift) than I would maybe say $10k premium could be justified for the better/updated design

Around $21500 asking pre taxes. I haven't inquired about service records but no service records on the car fax. Yea the only big option missing for me is the L lol. It has radar cruise, self park and ml which is a + for me.
Based on what I could source on the internet, $18K would be over the top even with low miles. I'd sure want to know if it has a clean carfax, perfect exterior and interior, both sets of keys, all services and a host of other things I can't think if at the moment. It's a great car for sure, just not for $21 grand.
Low mileage is a plus, but at that price I'd be wanting records to ensure that the control arms have been done. My '10 AWD SWB had them go around ~30,000 miles last year, but that car hasn't had any air suspension issues. My '09 AWD SWB had the control go last year too, but at about 75,000 miles - that car has had two rear air shocks replaced around the 50k mark.
I’m 6’8” and always opted for the L in any previous car I owned, Audi and BMW that was. The LS I got isn’t an L and it’s just big nice luxury car, I can sit very comfortable and a passenger behind me. So I won’t make the L vs no L a deal breaker. Good luck 👍🏼

Used car prices are still on a bubble and haven't returned to an expected "norm". If you really must have it then you'll be paying a premium. If you can wait.. I'd wait at least until December.
Good luck!
I agree with others about known service history and the ZLZ campaign. If panels/dash get sticky, it'll cost thousands to replace even with used parts. But if it's already been addressed, you're good to go. I understand about the group of options being hard to find. With that said, paying the price for the only car you can find with those options may mean paying a high price. Only you can decide. The models after 2013 are considered to have fewer known potential issues. If you can't confirm the service history, any year is a pig in a poke.
