Well, I get coffee and donuts at the Lexus dealer, a free loaner car, and a free car wash. Still, I can get coffee at home, wait 30 min at the Toyota dealer, and I wash my car every week-or-so myself!

Lexus dealers do have a nice service waiting area. Those amenities mattered to me before I retired. Like most things in life, priorities can change.
And not necessarily a pleasant one. Took my 2014 LS460 to the local Lexus dealership for a simple engine oil and filter change (nothing else, no "inspect this" and "inspect that"). Wait for it..........
$150.00!!!
I guess it's time to start checking out alternative venues!
$150 for a synthetic oil change on a car that takes 9.5 quarts of oil at a Lexus dealer is cheap.
It costs $100 to have the oil changed with Mobil 1 on the Pacifica at my local quick lube.
Think about it. TGMO is $9 a quart, just the oil is $90. Their labor rate is $170 an hour probably. So they are charging you for the oil, $10 for a filter and not even an hour of labor. Makes total sense.
Lexus dealers are very expensive. All of those perks cost money and you pay for that in what the labor rate is. If you wanted an $80 oil change, they wouldn't be able to provide all that. You have to pay to play.
This is my last invoice from the quick lube place for the Mobil 1 change on my Pacifica, look at the price. The LS460 takes twice the oil...no loaners there or other perks obviously...
I recall my last oil change on my 2013 being more than 150 at the dealer. Would need to check the invoice for the exact amount. Thankfully, I only need to change it once a year based on miles driven.

Exactly, you can decide that the dealer isn't worth it to you, but its not going to cost any less than that at a Lexus dealer, I I don't see how any place can change the oil with a quality oil for less than $100, and you have to ask yourself do you want that? I want good quality oil used. The cheapest labor rate I have seen is $80 an hour, and even if they only charged a 1/2 hour of labor, thats $40. $40 in labor plus $6 for the filter plus $50 for the oil (which is only $5 a quart) plus taxes and disposal fees and all, and thats your $100.
Anything that we do once a year, oil change, celebrate anniversary at fav restaurant will bring price sticker shock. Everything costs much more than a year ago.
You know what I like about $150 oil changes at the dealership aside from the premium items such has fountain soda, espresso, bagel, and cable tv...
..the free "multi-point" inspection.
It means the tech took a 2-minute walk around the car to come up with a $7k worth of repairs for wear and tear parts, but at least i know the parts are wearing out, and I should plan the DIY..
oh the sway bar links are worn and will cost $300 to repair? Let me order it from the internet for $30 and repair it on my own.
oh the battery failed your test and Lexus battery is $250? Let me start prepping my back and tri to lift the $100 battery on to my costco shopping cart.
oh the seal is leaking at the bottom of the engine? Let me make sure not to trash that Amazon box on next delivery and place it in my garage floor...
p.s. my last oil change was at home w/ Pennzoil Ultra 9qt w Toyota filter/washer. $20 (after rebate) for oil + $10 for filter.. my dealership is closer to $200 and almost always defaults to the service combo that includes tire rotation for like $40's more. I don't like feeling like a cheap bastard when I say I just want the a la carte oil change, no tire rotation.
Even pure DIY these are not exactly cheap cars to do an oil change on, you need a lot of good oil and a good filter and that just not happening under $60 and that price is REALLY taking advantage of sales and bulk buys. This is in contrast to cars that don't exceed $20 to do, there is just no way around the cost of nearly 10 quarts of 0w-20 synth vs like 3.5 of conventional
As far as the Lexus inspection they have missed so much in my experience I wouldn't take it to heart....

I wish I had the time or energy to do any of that...so I just pay lol.

I get coupons from Johnson lexus all the time. I do my own oil changes so you are welcome to have them.
walmart Mobil 1 2 x 5 qt $50
oem filter $10
labor $ 35
that's all my oil change cost recently
There are independent shops that will do this for you if you shop around. Buy your own oil and filter...have them change it for you for $35 bucks or so. If you can’t do it yourself, this is a pretty good option, it’s a little cheaper and you are guaranteed to be getting quality oil and filter (otherwise you have no idea what oil they are putting in there).
