Question Does LS460 support "clear flood mode"?

Every time I change oil, I prime a new filter with oil manually. I just found out that some vehicles support "clear flood mode" that prevents an engine start but allows cranking resulting in priming of a newly installed filter by means of a starter. What I am wondering is does LS460 support "clear flood mode"? Thanks!

There is probably some way to crank it over without starting via software/scan tool but why would you bother?

I would like to prime a newly installed filter with a starter rather than manually.

Ah, I guess you could do that but it primes very quickly when you just start it. By the time it fires the filter is full already due to how much oil the pumps move. Mine doesn't even throw the oil light like some cars do when you first start it, it's hard to pre-prime a canister filter in general but there may be a remote mount option that allows you to have the filter be a spin on instead or a top facing canister.

I'm actually trying to find said adapter so I can add an oil cooler and use spin on filters instead of the canisters.

If auto manufacturers built cars that preoiled the engine, more engines would last 500k miles.

You can remove the fuse that controls the fuel pump, turn the engine over a few times then put the fuse back in.

Thank you! However, I was looking for something that is implemented on the firmware level in the ECU similar to some of newer cars.

I'll try and find something, but it would be easier to disable the spark plugs or injection drivers on these if the option doesn't exist.

As far as I can tell, no.

I tried a bunch of different ways to see if it has one but I don't think it's possible, the only thing I didn't try was on a cold engine since I do not want to RPM it to redline cold. When I tried it with any combo of pedal, acc/on/run brake, no brake, "N" "P" etc it would only ever start and flash to 6500 rpm if you didn't immediately back off, this may very well be because I had the engine at full operating temp whenever I tried anything but I am not willing to subject my engine to cold revs like that since I can't physically get off the pedal fast enough to avoid 4k RPM at the minimum.

I also could not find anything in any of my scanners to induce a crank only mode, it would seem you need to disable the injectors since even with relay pulled the engine does fire off residual fuel. With the injectors pulled it cranks like you wanted to achieve but it's a massive pain. Sorry for the delay but I honestly forgot to try it......I may attempt it cold on another 07-2017 Lexus I buy at some point that is damaged already or I won't personally be keeping. However I think I had done enough idle redline taps on mine...

Much to my annoyance my Jeep does support this as does my Ram. Doesn't seem like any of my other cars do. Thanks for inducing a bunch of redline taps on my Toyotas lol!
