Default Power Steering electrical component installation.

I have a 2007 460L
We had a flash flood in our area a couple of months ago and my steering locked up. I found out as I start the car I could pull it to the right and it will clear the code and all is good. I thought maybe after it dried out it would be ok but the car is garage kept and not a daily driver that this did not work.

So tired of rhe jerk to clear the code etc i have decided to install a new box. My question is due to security if i install a new box will it have to bet set by the dealer or will it be fine?

It will need to be programmed to the car. Dealer or any specialty garage with Techstream can do it. Probably smart to have the replacement done by shop with Techstream. It might be undriveable until programmed.

Thanks! That's aggravating. I'm about ready to get rid of this thing. Always something. I guess it's part of having a specialty car.
