Default Steering wheel

Hello. A few days ago I noticed my 2011 LS steering wheel was not tilting or telescoping automatically when I turned the car off. It will tilt and telescope manually using the lever on the steering wheel. So I am curious as to what could be the problem. Thanks for your time and attention.

Try resetting the seat/steering wheel memory on the door.

Tried that. Did not work. When I press one of the seat settings on the door, the steering wheel moves accordingly. Still doesn't go back to position when I turn the car off.

Has not occurred in my '07, but if it did, I would try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes and see if it magically resets itself.

Go into the settings for easy entry, turn it off, drive around a few times and turn it back on. Reset your seat as well, just bump all settings up/down lightly and have it resave the position even if you didn't actually move it.

Failing that reset the car by disconnecting the battery. Let's see if that works

Tried everything on the thread. Nothing. Works manually. Just not automatically. Thanks for the replies so far

Here's the best way to search the forum for info. Go to google and enter your search parameters something like this. "steering wheel memory module ls460 club Lexus" If you add club Lexus, it looks at the forum and works better than our own search engine. My guess there's a loose wire for the steering memory or a module issue. Let us know how it goes.

DLAP you can get good feedback on any forums but it may not solve your problems. Sometimes only a shop or dealership can fix the problem.

^^ taking this a step further..... enter this in your search engine.
"site:clublexus.com enter your search criteria"

using "site:sitename.com" keeps them looking *mostly where you point them. Oh and no quotes around site. Use quotes in the search criteria if it must contain that input.
