2016 LS 460 L with all the bells and whistles short of the executive seating package. These are a pretty rare find, in my experience. 100k miles, but not priced badly at all.
I was all ready to drive up there but first I looked at the service history. Ah, I see. Although one never knows for sure, it seems the car has had issues persistently overheating and having the climate system not work. I can see why the owner would want to get rid of it.
It's probably still a good deal for some who does a fair amount of their own work or who can figure out the real issue, but it sounds like more hassle than I am interested in. Too bad -- it looks like an awesome ride and very well maintained.
Did you talk to the dealer and see if those issues been addressed??? I would still find out more to see, because that seem like a diamond in the rough.

I haven't yet. I may still check it out but the service history on Lexus Drivers seems to suggest those issues have been recurrent for the last 20k miles or so. Who knows, though -- could be user error.
I don't know. I personally wouldn't risk it and that's coming from the perspective of being able to swap an engine if needed without too much difficultly.
Reason for this is I really get leery of overheaters due to the fact that people do dumb $#!% to try and make it stop overheating. I don't know if some idiot tried to use something in the cooling system that damaged seal, weakened metals, or the worst case compromised the heater core. That particular item is HELL to replace on an LS due to how hard it is to get the dash out and back in without scratching or damaging anything.
It could be as simple as someone didn't bleed the air or as bad as a partially blown head gasket constantly over-pressurizing the car and infusing the coolant with acid. We don't know and if you can figure it out definitively in person what it is be prepared to perhaps need to replace everything.

Thanks, I appreciate the informed mechanical perspective. The service records indicate the owner took the car in to the dealer for every single recommended service and for any other issues as well, so I don’t know how likely it someone tried some idiotic, half-baked fix on the car. Unless, of course, the dealer did. But still, it doesn’t look like the dealer was ever able to fix the issue to the owner’s satisfaction, and the fact that the same problems kept coming back is a red flag.
If the selling dealer is the servicing dealer, perhaps they would address your concern with some sort of promise to do a repair for that issue if it comes up again within reason. If they are certain they fixed it...BTW, no mark Levinson stereo seems odd considering all the other options.

That’s an excellent thought, but the selling dealer is two and a half hours away from me.
Then there’s the question of the air suspension. The car isn’t very old, but it does have 100k miles on it.
I should probably just stop looking at the car listings all the time and enjoy what I have.

Good idea!
I did not do this, and ended up trading my 2012 LS six months after buying it to upgrade to my current fully loaded 2014. I have had this car for nearly 6 years and it's been very good to me. I have had to do just routine maintenance. Makes me wonder if I will ever get my money's worth for the Lexus Platinum warranty I purchased with the car!
The fact that the 2016 in question has been heavily used (nearly 20K per year) and the overheating issues would give me pause. I also think it is overpriced, but that could just be reflection of the used car market at present.

Sounds like you made the right choice! It is hard to stop shopping for cars once you have started, even after you buy something.
If I were to pursue the deal (which I have decided against), I would be trading a decently-optioned 2015 460L with 80k miles and the same color scheme. So it wouldn't be that much of an upgrade other than getting the air struts, the UL package, and the pre-collision package (and an extra 20k miles of wear and possible overheating issues). Those packages would be cool to have, but the difference wouldn't be huge and given all the potential downsides, it doesn't seem worth it.
The pricing seems roughly in line with what I am seeing these days. Whether that is reasonable is, of course, an entirely different question. For comparison, CarMax has a 2015 460 SWB with the UL package and 53k miles listed at $46k. https://www.carmax.com/car/21708564 Now that seems overpriced to me!
