In my garage... lady came on my side distracted, I stopped she kept coming I slam on the horn she doesn't stop... crunch.
I felt like the guy in sideways.

Everything is ok... hahaa i was going to walk to coffee shop too.
And I just told my wife, I want to get dash cams for our cars.
Lady admitted she didn't see us and the police report points at her but some people aren't honorable.

Dash cam now.

 

Did you tell her that she wasn't supposed to do that? And that since she did anyway, that it wasn't nice? She might not know.

You're right. The chances are she's going to avoid responsibility. I procured a $90 dash cam, plus GPS, it was around $110 or so. Picture is great. The screen is too small. But would probably still work to let law enforcement look at it on the spot. But, when I'm rolling down the road, I hardly ever have incidents. Partially because of my driving style, but just lucky too of course.

Hope you get that jewel all straightened out with minimal hassle.

Sorry dude, that sucks. Hopefully her insurance takes care of it. My wife keeps asking me to install a cam too. Do you guys have any recommendations? Every time I search for one I'm overwhelmed by the choices.

When I scroll the pictures on this thread there is a picture of a cam being stealthily installed. Is that the Lane keep assist camera or someone's dash cam?

I don't know FL laws. In MA your insurance company would pay and then recover from the person at fault, or their insurance company. No adverse effect on your insurance rate.

As an aside, I recently had been considering this new unit from Escort. It combines a radar detector with a dashcam. It is a little pricey though.

That's terrible, I'm feelin' your pain brother! So many bad/distracted drivers here in S. Florida, but it seems even worse in parking garages. Just the other day I was in the garage at the Hard Rock, and I had to be so cautious and careful because drivers were speeding, not stopping at stop signs....so uncourteous in general. I could tell my girl was not happy being there.

 

Adjuster approved $7,146.00 for OEM parts.
I'm a little mentally affected by this but I'm right back on the horse.

So sorry that happened, here's to hoping it looks 100% perfect when you get it back.

Its parking garages/city areas that have me keeping the old Jeep in the fleet. I would not care if someone ruined it.....okay at least not too much.

 

yesssss I love my horn it does require relays for each horn but it’s a diy job… if you contact Marco they can ship it direct or use meest they are a reshipper they can ship to a virtual EU address and then ship it to you from there. I use it the other way around for buying stuff in the US
