after replacing a bad digitizer with another bad digitizer, the screen itself stopped working. i bought a refurbished screen/digitizer, installed it and the screen is solid orange.
i removed the "new" screen/digitizer and put the old one back in and it is now also displaying a solid orange screen.

anybody have any advice?

 

It's usually the ribbon cables that are causing the problems.
