Default 07-09 Headlight Question

I'm looking at 07-09 headlights and I came across a set with a strange harness (looks like 2010+) and a connector that I cannot find on mine, or any other 07-09 headlights for sale. Can anyone identify the circled connector, and answer why an 07-09 headlight has the wrong harness?

I believe, it is a headlight for a LKA enable car. Those are probably harnesses to power up the LKA, located in the headlight.

That wasn't even available in 2007-2009 though as far as I'm aware, and the P/Ns 81145-50320 and 81185-50320 say it will fit my 07-09, but that harness definitely will not.

You are right. Lexus website says that the part is for cars with pre-collision system and washer.

But my car has pre-collision, and a lot of others do but they do not use that headlight or harness. Turns out there is a light retracting relay that plugs into and bolts there, 85963-30010. It must be available in some markets, but not US as I've never seen it before.

The only options per Lexus for headlights are this one (with pre crash) or the composite headlight without precrash or the provisions for headlamp washers. 81145-50280 / 81185-50280

The problem with US spec cars is that even if its has a pre-collision option . This harness is only added when the car has LKA added which is pretty rare. I am working on the LKA conversion on my LS . LKA harness is 82112-50050 which changes the connector for the headlights . You can still use the mention headlight no warning lights . The warning lights will show when you connect the object recognition ecu which is in the trunk. All the wires are there for converting to LKA. But you need the LKA harness to get everything to work.

From what I researched this is what plugs into that connector and is mounted on that portion of the headlight. I have no idea what it is or what it does, nor have I ever seen one on a US spec headlight, but that's where it goes.

This connects to the bottom small white connector then it enclosed inside with a cover . Its the IR infrared that links directly with the object recognition ecu/

Is there an IR beam inside the headlight as well somewhere? Have the part number to the trunk ECU?

Oh, that ECU is only 6k lol.

So all you need is the correct headlights, that harness, and the trunk ecu? There's a plug in the trunk I'm guessing already?

Take a look at a fellow member thread he goes in detail but haven't succeed or paused his work. I am continuing his work. If i get it to work i will report back, since it's a big project. I am working on flashing a japanese ecu to accept a USA car since the these ecu are paired by country region which it saves in a 9cxx chip . All the work done is by using used stuff the only exception is the headlights since the japanese headlights dont have a headlight washer system.
