Default ZLZ question lower dash panel

Has anyone had the panels adjacent to the stereo replaced under the zlz campaign?

I have asked about those and was told they are not included in the recall. Haven’t had the chance to challenge that with lexus yet...

Its not part of the recall and its also stated and showed pictures clearly in the letter. No need to Challenge them. I already have and still got the nope. Those panel doesn't really get damaged so thats why its not part of the recall.

Those panels are part of the dash so the only way to replace them is with a new dash.

Thank you! That's good to know. They look like seperate pieces.

those panels are sticky on my car. I had the ZLZ done but not the upper dash because it was not sticky and was concerned about taking nav and AC electronics out.

you chose not to replace the upper dash? That’s regrettable

No, they did not have upper dash in stock when they did my car. I can still get it done now. What’s interesting, upper dash is not sticky... just those two panels...

They take out a lot more than that. Its a big cage structure so all thats left is tons of wiring harness, etc. What year us your LS? So are they waiting on the dash to come in still?

As sha4000 stated, they are included with the upper dash. My upper dash was so sticky and tacky, it was almost like fly paper. It was replaced two years ago and looks great today.

I would do it if possible. Even if it’s not sticky now, it may become sticky later

Worst case scenario. Which i did is replace it with a ls600 leather dash . Every time i drive i feel relaxed looking at the dash.

Sadly no, it's not faded. Just haven't had a chance to clean it since I replaced the control arms, ball joints, tie rod ends, and sway bar links and bushings. My air suspension controller is in the glove box, so there's a lot of fingerprints. And don't call me surely!
