So, I got some time to trouble shoot this setup. I reinstalled the oem bulbs and they fired up, fuses were not blown as I thought. The DRL system just needed a reset.
I tried the Morimoto setup on my 01 GS300 which have a similar DRL system as the LS and it did not work for the DRL function. It did function for the High Beam.
I ended up installing this https://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-HID-Wh...a/282530320295 which I got off of eBay for $20. a while back but never installed. The DRL functions like the oem setup with good light output, however, the High Beam light output sucks, lol. The DRL function is good with no flicker or other issues. The high beams does activates with poor light output. This setup works much better than the Morimoto GTR module setup.

I will continue to troubleshoot the issue.
I plan to return everything. I will be in touch with theretrofitsource.com on Monday to discuss this. Good thing they are about 35 miles from me, so I can just drive down there to them.
I will recheck everything tomorrow and give another feedback.
Seem like this setup may not work for us.
Well that's not what I was hoping to hear. I wonder how retrofit source could recommend this combo to work properly, and considering they say they're best known as the North American distributor for the Morimoto brand and they also own GTR Lighting, you'd think we could get a definitive answer from them for any products that would solve our high beams/DRLs issue.

Just wondering what retrofit's response was to your Morimoto/GTR issues. Did they offer a refund, explanation why this set up did not work, etc.?

They issued me a refund. I spoke with tech support and they could not figure why the set up would not work. They installed it on my car with the same results. They promised to do some bench testing to figure it out.
The cheap eBay set works good as DRL but high beam out put is crap with no flicker.
