Default Well, the LS460L is no more...

Some of you may have seen my thread in the Car Chat Forum, but I did trade my 17 LS460L in on a 20 Mercedes S560 the other day.

It was very sudden, the deal I wanted just came together and they offered me a trade figure on the LS that made it so it didnt make sense to explore selling it privately which was my plan. In fact I was leaving and they came running after me to see if they could make it work and they did.

With the LS I was 3k miles from the end of the warranty and I was going to have to commit to buying it out and keeping it long term and I just didn't feel that my innate desire to have something new would hold off for enough years to make it worthwhile to do that. Definitely bittersweet, I loved my LS460L its a great car and I have at times over the past couple days felt some remorse, but the S Class is pretty great. This forum was a big part of the pro column for keeping it I can tell you that.

I aint going nowhere! You will still have to put up with me!

Here are a couple pictures:

Oh please. It was 9:00 at night at a closed dealership and that’s where they backed it into to deliver it to me. Get over yourself.

Well, lets start with you being parked in a handicap spot without a permit displayed. I personally would never own a Merc unless it had a warranty. I know that LS460 is not that much behind.

I got my LS for what I thought was a good deal. I obviously was wrong with $5k+ in repairs and counting. I thought about selling it but I will loose even more money. So I am stuck with it until it is proven to interfere with my work as I use it for my daily commute.

Congrats with the new car! Though, you cannot be trusted now because you belong to the Merc camp.;-)

Haha, the dealership parked it there, not me!

Yeah niether would I. This is new, so it has a warranty. I wouldn't have kept the LS without one either.

But yeah, my wife and I were talking about that when she noticed the power seat that holds you in to one side when you make a turn, she's like "what about when that breaks" and my response was "Oh, this is a leaser, this isnt a car you would keep like the LS" lol

What year is yours again? Once its sorted its a great car.

Haha, I will always be a Lexus guy! I never would have left Lexus if the LS500 hadn't been so disappointing. If they make a car thats truly a peer to this S Class like the LS always was then I would definitely come back.

My LS460 is 2010 AWD with $156k+ on it. But it seems to have all original parts on it which is very surprising and disappointing.

lol yeah folks aren’t doing any maintenance on them anymore when buying new. They drive them into the ground and sell em.

Congrats. Love the S class. Was looking at ‘14 S class before I bought my LS. Did you get the porcelain interior?

Well, that’s a surprise. Congrats. I hope you love the car. Sure looks nice. Oh and to all making reference to the HC spot, how do we know the person who put it there doesn’t have a HC pass? 😉

Enjoy.

What didn't you like about LS500? I thought, it was a top notch car.

I had been waiting for the new LS until 2017, was disappointed. Looking at this 2020 Geländewagen after I start to be tired of my 2013 LS600hl.

It’s smaller inside, firmer riding, not as quiet, no V8...
