Looking into getting a 2013 LS 460 L , AWD as it's the first year with the BSI. Keep seeing problems with the 460 and would like to know how common they really are and have they been resolved by 2013 ?. These include :
1.Control arm bushings
2. Brake actuator
3. Brake pad and caliper issues
4. Engine noise
5. Fuel pump recall ?
6. Anything else ?
Had a 99 LS 400 I purchased used , drove for 9 years trouble free. Loved that car and would still have if my wife hadn't refused to go another winter with RWD. Now have a 2010 Venza AWD that's a great car. Trying not to find myself regretting moving up to a Lexus.
TIA
I bought a 2013 SWB U/L two years ago with 139k on the clock. Other than rear brake pads and rotors and varmint damage eating fuel injector wiring harness when it was sitting this spring, the car has been flawless. 172k on it now. Of the service history is good, I wouldn't be concerned at all.
You may run in to none, any or all of those things. Check the Lexus Owner's Site and see what's been done. Look into getting an after market warranty or as I mentioned in another thread, start a savings account for possible things that may come along and you'll be covered.
