Default Extended warranty

Hey CL Family,

I'm on the verge of joining the LS family and I was looking into getting an extended warranty. I am getting it from a local independent dealer so I won't be able to get a Lexus Platinum Warranty or one of those low priced Carmax ones as well.
I'm not sure which warranty company is reputable to cover most of the big issues that might present itself soon. Is there a warranty thread that discusses this topic? I tried looking.
The one quote I got was for i.e. Ally- 6 years, 150k for 5700 which I thought was pretty expensive.
Do you guys have any recommendations on what I should be looking to pay? Which companies I can call to look into, I just want to make sure when it's time to visit the dealer, that getting the repair fixed without additional payment issues will not be a concern.
Part of getting the warranty is to have some peace of mind. My model year is 2011, 40k miles.
3 things I am concerned about is the control arms, brake actuator and the air suspension. 2 out of the 3 will be very expensive.
Thank you everyone in advance for your help and input.

I can tell you over the years a number of members here bought warranties through a credit union and had good luck with them. I do agree that $5700 is expensive.

You can contact your local Lexus dealership and ask if they offer any aftermarket warranties. I'd do some research in finding some local independent Toyota and or Lexus service shops. Fins out their costs to do those type jobs. Also, look online and here for best cost on parts. Once you get figures, put aside that money in an account and build on it. There's a good possibility you won't need it or maybe some of it. Then you'll have some peace of mine. Good luck and welcome.

and if not obvious, contact one of the dealer finance managers directly, no need to go through sales.

That's exactly what I did at Lexus and they offered me a nice plan for very reasonable money.
