Default 2008 LS600 HL brake actuator do it yourself info

Does anyone have any idea how one might go about replacing a brake actuator on a 2008 LS 600hL? I bought the car a month ago, 200,000 miles, and was warned by the seller I might need to replace it. The dealer tech said the same thing last week. I bought a brand new Lexus actuator on eBay and I would love to save $755 (as I saw the labor listed on an invoice in another thread post. Thanks so much!!!

It is the same procedure you would do on any hybrid cars. I just replaced it on my Prius. Just make sure you're really careful with all these hydraulic pipes. And after replacement, you need to use software to calibrate the brake system.

Any idea of what software I would need to calibrate the brakes?

Only the Japanese Estima in the 20th body has 9 elements the same as in the LS (there are 20 of them here). There are no more cars on such elements.

That's interesting to know. Is this fact changing my protocol in anyway? I am assuming it's not, and I have already ordered the MINI VCI J2534 TIS techstream. If it actually makes a difference, would you please let me know. And if you do happen to know which other techstream I would actually need, I would also appreciate the number/link to the correct one. Thanks in advance!

Here you go.
I used this tutorial when I replaced the actuator and motor assembly on my LS460. It has the 600h listed as well. I followed the steps as they were written.Technical Service Bulletin # SB0069-09

Date: 090602

Brakes - Squawk Noise From The Brake Actuator

L-SB-0069-09

It is also the method for bleeding the brakes if they are making abnormal noises or air is in the system.. The guide is pretty straight forward. If I remember correctly It has you skip steps if your not replacing any parts. It's important to point out to follow the instructions and bleed them in the order as specified. You can't just pick which wheel to do first, second, third, ect. The computer only opens the specific port for each step. This is especially important for the rear brakes. You'll also need 2 people. I had my helper sit in the front seat. If you open and close the door it can mess up the process.

Here is a link to the Technical Service Bulletin # SB0069-09
Click next on each page to progress to the next steps. I suggest printing these out as bouncing back and fourth from techstream and the website on my laptop got confusing.
