Default New member looking for advise

Hello to all, Im a new member here. I'm in the market for a used LS but would like some advise as to what year to look for. Obviously Im looking for a nice low milage example. What year would you guys suggest. I have experience with the RX models and currently own a 2020 RX 350 its the car my wife drives. Any advise would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks for asking us! Be prepared for an elevated driving and ownership experience; top quality materials, engineering workmanship. Creamy sumptuous drive. My key criteria for selection were: 1) source a car from a salt free locale, rust is destructive to any car, 2) there are many sophisticated automated technologies, I.e entry/exit assistance, rear sunshade, automated parking brake set/release, folding side mirrors, while these are not problem prone, test them all; the car initiate a self test pricurdure upon start up; make sure no warning lights/error codes, 3) avoid air suspension which can be problematic over time and expensive to repair.

Lastly Lexus had a supply chain issue with suppliers of interior vinyl trim causing serious premature deterioration, including a stickiness of the plastics. To Lexus’ credit, they are extending warranty replacement with brand new panels and also covering labor. I would be asking seller if interior has been replaced.

these are quality cars and you’ll find plenty of people here enjoying their cars for 200K+ miles.

Good luck, shop carefully, enjoy!

Our last five leases have been RX 350's. Ive decided to forgo another lease and buy a used LS instead. Don't know if this is right but I have been told that up to the 09 year built cars, were better. And that starting with the 2010 model year people started reporting issues that the 09 did not suffer from. I would like to determine if this is true.

Its opposite, the early cars have much more go wrong on average and the 13+ cars have much better interiors and overall build.

Are there years or trim levels that do not have air suspension?

Frankly, I don't know if you can go wrong with any model year LS. If you find one that hasn't been abused and has been regularly maintained, most likely you will have no problems. Obviously something can go wrong with any car, but the odds are on your side.

If you want early, I'd certainly start with the 2010. That added Bluetooth which for me is an incredible ad.

That is correct. I recommended the OP start with the 2010 to get BT audio.

Default Ls 460

I'm not looking for air suspension or AWD. Ive noticed many of these cars advertised for sale but no mention of either of this equipment. Is there an easy way to check for example if a car your looking at has air suspension? is there a button to look for?
