Sticky Dash Fix - Pics and Results
I had to do something about the sticky dash and door panels. So I purchased the kit from stickydashfix.com in Australia. After about a month the kit arrived. I followed the directions and, over two days, completed the application. Here are some before and after photos.
Shiny and sticky with car in the sun and windows rolled up.
Same panel today after being parked in sun with windows up. NOT sticky. The doors were masked prior to coating.
The dash was completed. NOTE: The glove box cover has been replaced by Lexus. The color matches almost perfectly.
I masked the windshield. Rather than masking the dash I removed the trim and slid out the radio and nav unit. I didn't have to disconnect anything. It was difficult but worth it.
I put three coats on these surfaces allowingabout an hour between coats. The dash took about a day including prep and coating.

Lucky i only had to do my door tops. They sent the wrong shade and are sending me a different set. After one month on i have noticed some shiny build up near the vent and also some ashy look to them. So my impression is not too good. I put 4 coats.

LS430FL,
Yes I did. I think it was ZLD. The service advisor kind of blew me off at the time saying the parts would take a long time and didn't record my documentation. In the mean time ZLD expired. No amount of arguing and talking with Corporate changed any minds. My fault.
ZLZ has replaced my lower dash and glove box components. I have been waiting on the console side panels for 7 months.

Amazing results. My LS460 is getting her interior fixed but I'm also looking for a (bucket list) IS250 with a manual transmission. These results look fantastic can you share your methods or maybe a vendor video? Pretty much every IS250 with a manual has advanced dash/panel rot.
Thank you,
Jeffrey

for the vendor video. On the dash it is more difficult to get the coating evenly applied. After taping, the foam brushes supplied worked well to apply an even coat. Much better than extra ones I purchased. Also, the angle of the windshield makes it difficult to apply without leaving brush strokes. This product will not correct cracks in the dash. It only coats the surface. Hope this helps.
