Default L/Certified Maintenance Contract Good for 3 Years!

I am sure we all know L/certified cars come with 4 free maintenance within 2 years/20k miles of the purchase. Usually it equates to every 5k miles/6months during normal course of driving

What I learned today is that Lexus Financial gives additional one year of grace period to get the 4 free service done!

I bought L/certified 16 LS in October 2019 and only drove 3k miles in last 8 months. I have barely driven my car past two months and probably will not drive for next few months (WFH). So I called Lexus Financial to find out if they can extend free maintenance contract because of COVID-19. The customer service representative told me there is a grace period (nothing to do with COVID-19) of an additional one year on top of two years of L/certified maintenance contract to get 4 free service done.

I think this is great but wondering if anyone can share their experience of getting service done during this so called grace period...

This is interesting in that when I inquired about this with corporate Lexus (not Lexus Financial) they told me it has to be within 24 months. You might want to try to get it in writing so your Dealer doesn’t give you any problems when you try to use it beyond the 24 months.

X2 would love to see that in writing. I was told must be within 24 months as well.
