Default Dash warning: change air conditioning filter

My 2007 LS 460 is giving me a dash warning that says "change air conditioning filter.: That's the cabin air filter right behind the glove box, right? I changed it when I got the car about 9,000 miles ago, so I'm pretty sure it is still in good condition.

How does the computer know when to issue that warning? Is it by mileage or some kind of pressure sensor in the air duct?

If it is triggered by a certain mileage, how do I reset the mileage counter?

Thanks in advance!

Go into the maint settings and check that first. Those are set by miles.

And do this too.

LOL, just hold down the OFF button! It doesn't get any simpler than that if you know the secret.
