Default Objects in mirror are.... normal sized?

I've had my LS for about 5 days now. The passenger side view mirror seems nearly impossible to use, even when it's adjusted right. I realized today that it doesn't say "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear". I'm wondering if I somehow have a non-US or super generic side view mirror. It also doesn't auto-dim like the drivers side. Has anyone heard of such a situation? Do I just replace the mirror plate with an OEM or good non-OE version?

It's possible that the mirror glass replacement is available with and without dimming and heating features. If so, maybe someone replaced the mirror glass with the cheaper version. I replaced a mirror on a RX330 I had, it was available with and without dimming. It just snaps out and snaps back in. You can probably search the forums or youtube for photos/video of how it's done. Pretty easy for a DIY.

Sounds like the incorrect replacement glass was used.

Default It must be

It must be replacement glass. I can't find any aftermarket heated and auto-dimming mirror glass though. What's also weird is a used OEM glass on eBay is like $150+. A whole used side mirror including glass is about the same price. I might try a local pick and pull to see if they're any cheaper.

I bought my RX replacement on Ebay for about $85. New listings show up all the time. Do a cross check to see if other model Lexus/Toyota mirrors are the same part number. Might be cheaper. You're on the right track.
